About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity to work for a registered nurse to work as a Nurse Educator in the Nursing Education & Development Centre at St Vincent's Health Network Sydney.
The Nurse Educator Grade 2 works to enhance the skills and knowledge of nursing and other clinical staff in the clinical environment of St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney. The Nurse Educator Grade 2 is responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of education programs to meet the needs of staff working within clinical environments in collaboration with Nursing Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Program Managers and collaboration with Nursing Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Consultants, Program Managers and the Nurse Manager for Education. The Nurse Educator Grade 2 will ensure all staff have equitable access to educational support and resources to enhance their clinical competence.
The role will ensure evidence-based practice principles have been utilized in the development of curriculum, programs, policies and procedures within the clinical environment and broader organisation. The Nurse Educator Grade 2 is responsible for education portfolios/programs as directed by the Nurse Manager for Education and for ensuring that education delivered is current and based on the best available evidence.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Nurse Educator who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who are Manager to include desired experience/attributes.

Selection Criteria:
Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries
Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency
Relevant post-graduate education qualifications or relevant post- graduate clinical qualifications with a Cert IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards)
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate education programs
Demonstrated knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches including e-learning
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and demonstrated computer literacy with email and an electronic patient record system
Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a Nurse Educator
