About the role
The Nurse Manager (NM) Clinical Trials Research Program is an advanced clinical practice registered nurse who will assist the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) Stream Lead with coordinating and conducting Clinical Trials Research at the Queensland Centre for Mental Health Research (QCMHR), a state-wide mental health research service hosted by the West Moreton Hospital and Health Services. The role works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge, extensive experience and clinical practice skills in the application of contemporary research methods and Clinical Trials.
- Advanced knowledge of clinical trial methodology and conduct in clinical and health service settings including, but not limited to, protocol development, budget negotiation, monitor key outcomes and safety endpoints related to clinical trial treatments using advanced clinical assessment and problem-solving skills, and completion of accurate Case Report Forms with verifiable source documentation and data entry.
- Advanced knowledge of how university and industry partners intersect with health services to support research.
- Advanced clinical trial management skills, with knowledge of relevant guidelines and legislation including Therapeutics Goods Administration adoption of International Council for Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice (TGA ICH GCP), applicable international regulatory requirements and applicable National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) guidelines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience in writing reports, delivering presentations, and tailoring commutation to suit a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the health system, with higher education, and across other sectors as necessary.
- Willingness to travel within the West Moreton Health and Greater Brisbane regions, as appropriate.
- Effective self-management skills in relations to strong time management, documentation, prioritisation and delegation to achieve deadlines.
- Demonstrates the ability to build and maintain strong relationships, open communication, and a positive environment within a multidisciplinary team, actively contributing to the learning and development of others to a high standard.
