The Nurse Manager:
- Provides leadership and manages the coordination of the assigned Quality and Patient Safety portfolio within Hospitals North.
- Supports the efficient and effective provision of care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework by coordinating the clinical, management, education, and nursing research functions for the Quality and Patient Safety portfolio within Hospitals North.

- Hospitals North are currently undertaking an expansion of roles to support Quality and Patient Safety across the Launceston General Hospital, Primary Health Services, Northern Cancer Service and the Quality and Patient Safety Service. This is a new role, making this an exciting time and opportunity to join this team. We are positioning the team to be able to provide a continuous quality improvement focused service centred on consumers, strengthening our partnerships with clinicians and consumers alike.
- Hospitals North are partnering with Huron Studer Group to achieve and sustain exceptional improvements in clinical outcomes for consumers. The Quality and Patient Safety roles across the organisation are pivotal in supporting this work and participating in this program will achieve Excellence Together.
- The team within the Quality and Patient Safety Service are committed to Excellence for our staff and community. For 2024 and 2025 we are focusing on effective Clinical Governance, eliminating avoidable harm and fostering a positive Patient Safety culture.
Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 8 April 2024
