Job description

Demonstrate accountability at an advanced practice level for managing and coordinating syphilis prevention in the context of a public health response and for the provision of specialist nursing advice, consultation, leadership and education to inter-professional team members as relevant to the specific context of the role.

About the role

The purpose of this role is to demonstrate accountability at an advanced practice level for managing and coordinating syphilis prevention in the context of a public health response and for the provision of specialist nursing advice, consultation, leadership and education to inter-professional team members as relevant to the specific context of the role. The focus is on complex cases for vulnerable patients in priority populations, including pregnant women/people and their sexual partners, women of reproductive age, heterosexual and non-gay identifying men who have sex with men.

The role will:

  • Coordinate patient centred care across the patient journey.
  • Strengthen partnerships with other government and non-government agencies providing support and clinical care to priority populations.
  • Improve patient outcomes through the delivery of evidence-based care.
  • Facilitate systems improvement - providing a leadership role within the organisations and act as an agent of change.

About you
