Bushland Health Group Limited is a long standing, community based, not for profit provider of residential aged care in the Manning Valley, on the mid north coast of NSW. We are the largest provider in the area and deliver best practice aged care to 281 residents at 3 facilities.
About the Role – What will you do?
The purpose of the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is to provide comprehensive health care, sensitive to the needs of the residents across our 3 Residential Aged Care Homes, including advanced assessment, diagnosing, initiating therapeutic interventions and making referrals where appropriate. The NP will encourage resident choice in provision of care, complement and work collaboratively with the roles of the General Practitioner (GP) and multidisciplinary team and promote development of advanced nursing practice. The rapid access to health care will improve residents’ quality of life. The NP is responsible across 5 key performance areas:
- Resident Care
- Staff Education
- Work Health and Safety
- Reporting
- Continuous Improvement and Planning Process
Skills and Requirements – What do you need?
- A Nurse Practitioner, with current AHPRA registration
- COVID-19 Digital Certificate and NDIS Worker Screen Check
- Commitment to contemporary aged care practice with an understanding of the principles of person-centred care, dementia practice and palliative care
- Drivers Licence with the ability to independently travel across our three locations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a busy team environment
- Flexible and proactive in your approach to work and dedication in providing exceptional care.
