Endorsed Nurse Practitioner - Emergency Department

The Royal Melbourne Hospital Emergency Department is a busy and unique team that provides high level acute care in a multi-disciplinary setting. We are a Level 1 Adult Trauma and tertiary referral centre, with over 85,000 presentations annually.

We are looking for Endorsed Nurse Practitioners (ENPs) to be part of the  ENP model for our Emergency Department, supporting our new Fast Track and Rapid Stay models. As a designated Major Trauma Service, we provide assessment, investigations and treatment to a high acuity case mix with an emphasis on Trauma, Infectious Disease, Chest Pain Evaluation, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry.

Your new role:

  • Use your nursing knowledge, theories and skills to perform comprehensive health assessments and utilise the extensions to NP practice to provide evidence based and person centred care.
  • Lead the Nurse Practitioner Candidate team in implementing this new model of care.
  • Work Monday to Sunday working a combination of AM and PM shifts.

About you:

  • You are an experienced Endorsed Nurse Practitioner, holding a Masters of Nurse Practitioner (or a Masters granted equivalence by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and work well with health professionals at both a clinical and executive level.
  • You have experience in research, with knowledge of research methodologies and processes.
  • You bring great clinical leadership to our already amazing team.
