The aim of the position is to provide medical support for the conduct of clinical trials, in accordance with quality standards, SOPs and adequate regulations and guidelines.
The right applicant will be a qualified and registered Nurse Practitioner willing to bridge their medical foundation with supporting clinical trials in a commercial environment.
Responsibilities
Will include but may not be limited to:
- Assessing patient condition with physical examination and medical history
- Reviewing clinical pathology reports, vital signs and ECG reports
- Educating patients on trials
- Prescribing medications/vaccinations
- Working in other areas like ethics and clinical trial oversight
Skills and experience
- Qualified Nurse Practitioner with current AHPRA registration
- Context of registration shall be within a general adult acute care setting and primary health care environment (excluding e.g. practitioners with narrow fields of sub-specialities including paediatrics, geriatrics, oncology, neonatology and midwifery)
- Broad knowledge and assessment skills
- No clinical trials knowledge necessarily required (full training and support provided)
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate with patients
- Outstanding organisational skills
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills
- High attention to details
- Must be a citizen/PR of Australia/New Zealand
