About the role:
The Nephrology Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and advanced clinical care in our Home and Satellite Dialysis Service of the John Hunter Hospital Department of Nephrology. The Satellite Dialysis Service consists of 5 dialysis units spread across the Hunter region (John Hunter Hospital, The Maitland Hospital, Muswellbrook Hospital, Singleton District Hospital, and Raymond Terrace Community Health Centre) with chair numbers ranging from 6 to 22. This role will require you to travel to these sites. You'll be working alongside our current full-time Nurse Practitioner for the Home and Satellite Dialysis Service and will be based at the Wansey Dialysis Centre.

The Wansey Dialysis Centre is part of the Kidney Treatment Options Pathway managed by Hunter New England Health. Its primary goal is to assist patients in making informed decisions about their kidney treatment options.

Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
- The equivalent of three (3) years' full-time experience in an advanced practice nursing role within the area of intended practice, within the past six (6) years from the date when the completed application seeking endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner is received by the Board.
- Successful completion of a Board-approved Nurse Practitioner qualification at Master's level or education equivalence as determined by the Board.
- A valid and unrestricted drivers’ licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
