Job Description

Epworth Geelong seeks passionate, flexible and dynamic Registered Nurses & Enrolled Nurses with acute experience to join our high performing and highly valued Nurse Resource Team. Based at Epworth Geelong, you will be responsible for the provision of high quality patient focused care. Multiple casual opportunities available. 

With the support of our Education Team you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills by working across a wide variety of specialities including: orthopaedics, urology, maxillofacial, colorectal, vascular, general surgery, ENT, gynaecology, plastics, neurosurgery, complex pain management, general medical/ oncology, inpatient rehabilitation and neurology. Multiple casual opportunities available!

To be successful in this role…

• Hold current nursing registration with AHPRA
• Possess a current Working with Children Check (Employee)
• Have one year (minimum) experience in acute clinical nursing
• Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in surgical/medical nursing care and the patient journey
• Be highly accountable to your patients and their families
• Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
• Demonstrate critical thinking and collaborative approach
• Be energetic for the potential of both the role and opportunities at Epworth Geelong
• Have the ability to work within a team focused environment
• Have the ability to work flexibly within a team environment.
• Be committed to on-going education and self-directed learning
• Be able to work day, afternoon and some night duty shifts across a 7 day per week roster

You will also have

• Excellent clinical skills with recent acute nursing experience 
• Well-developed time management and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Commitment to your professional development
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focus
• Sound knowledge of risk management, infection prevention and quality improvement principles
