We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team leading our approach to the provision of quality care to clients of the Community Mental Health Team.
The rewarding opportunity has become available for a suitably experienced, qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to apply for the role of Community Mental Health Team NUM. The primary responsibility of the CMH Team NUM is to lead, direct and co-ordinate the day to day multidisciplinary care and treatment of clients in the team in an effort to maximise their recovery process. The CMH Team NUM is also responsible for the daily supervision, leadership and support of the CMH team as they work to meet the needs of clients and their carers.
The CMH team NUM will take direct management over those clinicians employed working in CMH including; the Day Clinic, Clozapine Clinic, Olanzapine Depot Clinic, Case Management, Day to day the CMH NUM will act as the team leader over the Acute Care and Triage Service.

About you:
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Nurse Unit Manager who possess a passion for person centred care. We welcome applications from people who are interested in working within a dedicated Community Mental Health Service.

Selection Criteria:
- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries
- Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency
- Recognised post graduate tertiary qualification in a clinical speciality or management (or willingness to undertake same within 12 months) or equivalent relevant experience
- Demonstrated operational, financial, human resource, workplace health and safety and effective communication / interpersonal skills experience at departmental level
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical governance and current nursing issues
- Ability to deliver, evidenced based, client centred care within a complex environment
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement principles, clinical policy and procedure development and implementation. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice.
- Computer literacy in MS Word/Excel, Email and an electronic medical record / referral system
