Access theRole detailsThe Nursing Services (Rural) Team at the Collinsville Hospital are seeking applications for a Nurse Unit Manager to join their team on a temporary basis.How to apply and for mandatory requirements regarding this role, please refer to the attached Role Description.Your opportunityThe Nurse Unit Manager is an employee who is a registered nurse who:

• Is appointed to an advanced practice nursing position; and
• Demonstrates a specialised clinical expertise and/or specialised skill set.

Classification may include but is not limited to:

• Responsibility for explicit professional portfolio content and context expertise.
• Expertise in the provision of direct care and/or support of systems and/or education and/or professional leadership.
• Consultation and provision of professional advice.
• Responsibility for a cohort of staff reporting to the position. and/or education and research advice.

About the TeamThe Collinsville Multipurpose Health Service is located in the Whitsunday Regional Shire in the town of Collinsville, approximately 86km southwest from Bowen, a journey which takes approximately 1 hour from Bowen. Collinsville has approximately 1250 residents.The Collinsville Multipurpose Health Service consists of eight acute care beds, 7 aged care beds, 24 hr emergency care, visiting Allied Health Services- including pharmacy, radiology occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology, mental health and AODS, child health and social work.A private GP practice is co-located within the hospital and the Medical Superintendent & Medical Officer have right to private practice. The QAS is also collocated on site.About our Hospital and Health Servicehas 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
