- Day to day management of patient care, including active collaboration and coordination with patients’ medical and allied health teams, equipment suppliers, informal (family and friends) and formal care team members and any other relevant stakeholders
- Day to day management of the staff, including training and mentoring, rotating rosters, annual leave requests, sickness, etc.
- Identifying, documenting and implementing efficiencies in the operation and management of the division
- Develop and implement strategies to maintain service quality while the business grows, including task automation where possible
- Implement strategies to position Vitalis as a superior provider of in-home services and as a preferred place to work
- Be responsive to changes in client needs, including introducing other Vitalis services where appropriate
- Meeting, developing and maintaining trusted relationships with current and potential referrers including specialists, hospital discharge planners, NUMs, partner organisations, etc.
- Identifying new business opportunities for the division
About You
- Strong clinical skills in critical care or a related field and current AHPRA registration.
- Extensive experience in airway management, Tracheostomy care and changes highly desirable.
- Experience in spinal injury management and rehabilitation highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and team development.
- Proven risk management and compliance skills.
- Proven experience ensuring patient safety.
- Proven business development experience and the ability to achieve results.
- Expertise and the capacity to facilitate positive relationships between clinical staff, patients, carers and the wider community.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem solving.
