The Andrew Love Cancer Centre (ALCC) is a comprehensive cancer centre that has provided expert care to those affected by cancer in Geelong and southwest Victoria in a supportive and caring environment since 1992.Our service gives adults living in the Barwon South West region access to world class cancer treatment. Based in Geelong, we have state-of-the-art facilities, equipment and highly skilled health professionals who provide personalised treatment and care. Chemotherapy, haematology and radiotherapy services are provided at the Andrew Love Cancer Centre
About the RoleAs the Registered Nurse you are responsible for the provision of patient / donor focused, holistic nursing care of assigned patients, in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes, with responsibilities encompassing the education and support for those receiving anti-cancer treatments. Duties of the Registered Nurse include but are not limited to:
- Delivering consumer centred care that meets best practice standards and in line with Barwon Health requirements
- Providing quality patient care using an evidence based approach
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication within a multi-disciplinary team to ensure patients receive quality ongoing care
