What you'll be doing
As the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) coordinating patient services and managing staff within the ward/unit you will also ensure alignment with WSLHD strategic directions. Your role will include further responsibilities such as:
- Overseeing health care environment, patient care standards, and safety.
- Holding Accountability for culture, quality, patient flow, and financial management.
- Implementing change management initiatives.
- Enhancing patient experience within the ward/unit.

Essential Criteria:
- Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated relevant clinical nursing experience with postgraduate nursing qualifications in specialty or management, or working towards same.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and to balance competing demands.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, manage and develop nursing/midwifery staff.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to assess nursing/ resource requirements and utilisation.
