- Direct, co-ordinate and supervise the provision of services for the Multi-Purpose Unit and Transit Lounge at Manning Hospital to maximise the health outcomes for patients/clients. Manage the day to day clinical and operational management of the unit.
- The Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) takes overall responsibility for the health care environment and standard of care within the Multi-Purpose Unit.
- As the nurse in charge the NUM will perform clinical leadership and management with accountability for culture, quality and safety, patient flow, financial management, change management and the experience of patients in the Multipurpose Unit.
- The NUM is pivotal to the co-ordination of patient care within the Unit, management and leadership of the profession of nursing to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality patient care and efficient use of resources.
- You will receive mentoring and coaching from the Nursing Executive team. You will be provided with a NUM orientation checklist and development plan on induction, as well as online and face-to-face training.
