The Nurse Unit Manager:
- Provides leadership to Perioperative Services, split across North West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital.
- Ensures the efficient and effective provision of care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework by coordinating the clinical, management, education and nursing research functions within the Perioperative Service - administrative and Nursing workforce.
- Leads and manages the coordination of overall patient care and is responsible for managing the allocated human, material and financial resources for service delivery within the Perioperative Service.
- Assists in the facilitation of surgical services theatre / surgical roster allocations across the region.
- Position is lead advisor / co-ordinator with Elective Surgery waiting list management / strategies of care delivery options

Details of Appointment
Permanent part time, day worker position working 16 hours per fortnight, commencing from April 2024.
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time and casual vacancies.
Salary: $118,801 - $125,301 pro rata, per annum. Our 11% Employer superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
Eligibility:

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

- Relevant post graduate qualifications
