We have multiple opportunities for dedicated and experienced Nurse Unit Managers to join a well-established Hospital in beautiful Launceston, Tasmania. As a Nurse Unit Manager, you will lead a team of skilled nurses in providing exceptional patient care within our hospital unit.
Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring comprehensive care.
• Manage unit resources effectively, including staffing levels, equipment, and supplies, to meet patient needs and budgetary constraints.
• Foster a positive work environment by providing leadership, support, and mentorship to nursing staff, promoting professional growth and development.
• Oversee administrative tasks such as scheduling, performance evaluations, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research projects to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Proven experience in a nursing leadership role, specifically in a hospital setting.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively manage resources and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in computer systems and electronic health records.
• Current CPR and Advanced Life Support certifications.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
