About the role
The council is looking for a part time (3 days per week) Nursery Hand within the Operations Department who will be responsible for maintaining and developing Frankston's Indigenous Nursery through best practice nursery management, horticulture and indigenous plant propagation and seed collection.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Carry out nursery operations including indigenous seed collection and propagation to the satisfaction of the Nursery Supervisor; and
- Assist Bushland and Coastal Management Teams in the provision of specialist horticultural skills in high priority conservation areas.
About you
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- A certificate III or above in Horticulture/Natural Resource Management or related discipline, or have approproate proven industry experience;
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of indigenous nursery operations; and trainees/apprentices
You will be required to work Friday each week. The remaining two days onsite are flexible and will be worked in to suit the preferred candidate.

This position is a Band 3 currently remunerated $66,181 per annum (pro rata) , plus superannuation.
