Casual Nursery Hand

Do you love working with plants, enjoy working outdoors, have a great work ethic, are reliable and punctual?

Plants Direct NT is a local family-owned wholesale/retail nursery located in Darwin’s rural area and we are looking for a Casual Nursery Hand to work 3 days a week - Wednesday to Friday with the occasional Saturday. 

Horticulture experience desired but not essential.

Key nursery duties;
General plant care - weeding, watering and light potting

Light Rigid (LR) and/or forklift license would be an advantage.

We currently have a 2nd position available at Plants Direct NT, which for the right applicant could possibly be combined with the Nursery Hand position.

Market Stall Operator/ Truck Driver

We have a plant stall every Saturday at Parap Markets, selling predominantly indoor plants but also some natives and tropicals.

The markets run between 8am and 2pm but the hours required are between 6:30am and 3pm to allow for set up and pack up. 

Requirements:

• Friendly with great customer service
• Reliable, trustworthy and punctual
• Experience and confidence driving a Light Rigid Truck - Light Rigid license is ESSENTIAL 
• Horticulture experience desired but not essential. However, you DEFINITELY need a genuine love of plants!!!

Basically your day will be spent chatting about plants and selling plants.

It’s a pretty laid back market with a great atmosphere.
