Nursery Hand / Grower

We are a medium sized wholesale nursery in Carbrook, supplying potted plants to major retailers, nurseries, florists, and landscapers. We pride ourselves on providing high quality products and services to our customers.

We currently have a vacancy for a motivated person to join our team as a Grower. We are looking for someone who:

· Is hardworking and physically fit as some heavy lifting and pushing of trolleys is required.

· Is able to work well in a busy team environment.

· Is self-motivated and has own transport.

· Loves plants and working outdoors.

· Has a positive attitude.

Your duties would include but are not limited to:

· Hand watering.

· Moving stock around nursery.

· Pushing trolleys around the nursery (full of stock).

· Chemical application.

· Weed spraying.

· Hand weeding.

· Pest/Disease monitoring.

· Water/Soil testing.

This is a casual position, with potential for permanency for the right applicant, with apprenticeship opportunities available for the right applicant.

Chemical application license not required. Unlicensed sprayers will be spraying under supervision.
