The Nursing Director - Sub Acute and Ambulatory Care Services within the Department of Medicine:
- Provides effective leadership and management of the nursing staff and services and sets strategic direction within the Department of Medicine - Sub Acute and Ambulatory Care Service Division of the Launceston General Hospital in consultation with the Director- Department of Medicine.
- Leads patient care in an interprofessional environment to achieve the defined objectives of the service.
The role:
Provide effective leadership and management of the nursing staff and services and set strategic direction within the Department of Medicine - Sub Acute and Ambulatory Care Service Division of the Launceston General Hospital (LGH) in consultation with the Director - Department of Medicine. Lead patient care in an interprofessional environment to achieve the defined objectives of the service.

Details of Appointment
Fixed Term position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 29 March 2024 until 30 March 2025 (possible extension).

- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
- Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
