Access theAbout the Role:As the Nursing Director, you will provide contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and management for Surgery and Critical Care within an expansive and complex environment. This includes:

  • Demonstratng comprehensive knowledge of contemporary nursing theory and practice and innovative models of care; linking models with monitoring to ensure best practice and implementing strategies to ensure nurses work to full scope of practice.
  • Act as an expert professional resource resolving complex, clinical, governance, operational and ethical challenges.
  • Collaborating and engaging with nursing executive, internal and external stakeholders, committees and advisory groups to support operational and strategic functions of Metro South Health.
  • Responsibility for the achievement of operational and strategic performance targets, evaluations and outcomes in line with operational plans, service targets and national and state benchmarks.
