The Opportunity
As the OHS Support Officer, you’ll take on a range of corporate, administrative and project support responsibilities to enable the OHS team to deliver its Occupational Health and Safety obligations across Council.
Your main tasks will include:
- Document management and preparation for the OHS Coordinator and OHS Team
- Accurate and timely correspondence with customers and stakeholders
- Providing administrative support to the Manager Governance, OHS Coordinator and OHS Team
- Attending OHS meetings and coordinating follow-up actions
- Organise and provide support for engagement activities and stakeholder consultation undertaken by the OHS Team
- Maintaining and processing the OHS reporting system
This is a permanent, full time opportunity and is based from the Lakes Entrance office.
Things You’re Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria)
- Relevant qualifications and/or a minimum of three years’ experience in a high-level administrative or project support role.
- Excellent computer skills and demonstrated experience in using a variety of database programs and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated focus on attention to detail, and an ability to provide a consistently high quality of work.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
- Knowledge of OHS duties and responsibilities of key positions within an organisation.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with demonstrated experience in working to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, set priorities, solve problems, and work well in a team environment.
- A current, valid Victorian driver’s license.
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check and pre-employment medical check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
