About the Role:
As an Occupational Health RN, you'll be at the forefront of providing essential first-aid, early intervention, and workplace health services for all employees. Your role will involve coordinating injury prevention and management activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and cultivating a safety-first culture within the organization.
Package Details:
- Competitive salary: $90k to $110k base (dependent on experience)
- Travel costs covered
- Nurses will be paid during their time off
- FIFO working arrangements: 2 weeks on/1 week off
- Monday to Friday schedule (6am to 3pm)
- Housing provided in a workers' camp, suitable for singles only
Key Responsibilities:
1. First Aid & Health Centre Management: Administer emergency and routine first-aid treatment, maintain health centre equipment, and oversee workplace drug & alcohol testing.
2. Pre-Employment Assessments: Coordinate assessments to ensure candidates' capacity matches role requirements, minimising workplace injury risks.
3. Return to Work & Injury Management: Assist injured workers with recovery and return to work services, collaborating with health practitioners to develop effective return to work plans.
4. WHS Implementation & Injury Prevention: Provide hazard management advice, deliver injury prevention programs, and educate workers on health and wellness practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse qualification (AHPRA)
- Certification in first aid and relevant healthcare qualifications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of WHS regulations and injury management practices
- willing to undertake specific training relevant to the role (paid for by employee)
