Position SummaryThe position is responsible for multi-disciplinary Allied Health services in the delivery of culturally appropriate Occupational Therapist to the Melbourne community, including pediatric, adolescent and Adult Caseloads. We currently provide intervention and therapy to people with a wide range of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, Cerebral Palsy and Intellectual Disability.We support people with:Pediatric - developmental assessment, play based therapy, skill focused occupational therapy, social skills, and key worker support.In this role you will:Deliver early childhood intervention and occupational therapy services to children and their support teams in the home, school, community and by tele practice or in our new therapy centers.Deliver goal directed therapy services to school age children who have learning, language, communication,sensory, intellectual, physical, and cognitive difficulties.Emphasize parent, teacher, and carer education to nurture change and to support the person participation in a range of environments.Functional Assessment should be done for the clients.SIL Assessment (Supported Independent Living) should be done.SDA Assessment (Specialized Disability Accommodation) for the clientHome Modifications major or minor to be done.Collaborate with each person support team to achieve their goals. Work closely with psychologist, speechpathologists, physiotherapists, and other
occupational therapists.Support Clients and their support team to develop and review therapy and support plans, ensuring goals aremeaningful, meet the needs of the individual and reflect their personal goals.
Provide information to customers around valuable services to maximize their ability to make informed choices.
