About the role
This is a Permanent full-time role.
The Occupational Therapy Department is located at the Mount Isa Hospital and provides a comprehensive service to all clients within the NWHHS. The Occupational Therapy service is responsible for providing general and specialised services within the NWHHS. This position is supported by the HP4 Occupational Therapist and the Allied Health Assistant, within a multidisciplinary team.
The Occupational Therapist is responsible for coordinating and managing clinical and administrative requirements, ensuring resources are utilised to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in service provision.
The role of the Occupational Therapist is to provide comprehensive Occupational Therapy services to both inpatients and outpatients of the Mount Isa community.
Requirements:
- Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and registration with AHPRA.
- Criminal History pre-employment screening may be undertaken for the successful applicant.
- This is a VPD risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis and COVID-19.
- A 6-month period of probation may apply.
