About the role
The Occupational Therapist will work in an ongoing contractor role, with the flexibility to structure your work week in a way that suits you best.
As the successful applicant, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- providing direct OT services for a varied clinical caseload (a range of ages and conditions)
- delivering services in a range of environments (incl. our outdoor clinic, community settings and via Telehealth)
- creating, monitoring and reviewing individualised client therapy goals & treatment plans with evidence-based approach
- completing session notes and follow-up administration through online systems
- completing OT documentation for management of NDIS participant funding (incl. Reassessment Reports, Functional Capacity Assessments and Supporting Letters).
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
- Relevant Occupational Therapy qualifications (with current AHPRA registration)
- Eligibility for Medicare Provider status
- Working with Children’s Check & Police check essential
- Current First aid certificate & TFN (ABN for contractors only)
- Independent Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Australian Driver’s Licence with own vehicle
- Own laptop with computer program/platform proficiency (incl. Windows, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Applications).
Desired skills
- Experience handling horses
- An understanding of fundamental horsemanship principles
- Experience with wildlife, dogs and other domesticated animals
- Experience with NDIS/NDIS participants
- Experience providing services via Telehealth
- Experience creating resources for clients (incl. visual schedules, communication books, social stories etc.)
