THE ROLE
Occupational Therapy Community NDIS
The successful candidate will be working full-time in the community. A typical day-to-day role of a community therapist will involve:
- Assessing client function and communicating client needs through detailed reports.
- Communicate identified needs with the client, families, and providers and appropriate referrals to the relevant Health Professional / Specialist.
- Prescription of appropriate equipment / adaptive aids as well as home modifications depending on your scope of practice.
- Working collaboratively within an Allied health team.
- Continuously review current treatment plans and adjust accordingly.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 1-3 years experience within the NDIS sector and experience with Paediatric Participants.
- A commitment to learning, growth, and teamwork.
- A passion for providing quality care in the NDIS community sectors
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
- Valid Police Check and Working with Children’s Check
- Current driver’s license
- Immediate start preferred but not necessary
