The Victoria Clinic has recently moved into a new state of the art, purpose built inpatient mental health hospital, which includes a rooftop movement hub, expanding to 115 beds. The Victoria Clinic provides a range of inpatient programs, which are growing to meet the needs of patients.

The Victoria Clinic has an exciting opportunity for an passionate Occupational Therapist to join the Allied Health team and possibly coordinate one of our non-specialist inpatient programs, depending on experience of successful applicant.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate / co-facilitate group therapy program sessions.
• Provide individual treatment sessions and supportive counselling sessions to individuals engaged in therapy.
• Provide psychological assessment services to people with a wide range of psychiatric conditions in an inpatient setting and outpatient setting, in order to determine suitability for particular specialist programs.
• Liaise with referrers, multi-disciplinary team, relatives, and other services as required.
• Participate in the development and evaluation of policies and programs as appropriate

To be successful in this role you should possess:

• Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• Experience coordinating and delivering programs
• Experience working with clients with a range of mental health issues, particularly emotional dysregulation
• Experience working with clients individually and in groups

Desirable:

• Post graduate qualifications
