Due to business growth, we are actively recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist (APRAH registered) to join our established allied health team. This diverse role will provide in-Home Care to our clients on a casual basis, with permanent opportunities becoming available as the portfolio expands. The Role:
Responsible for providing comprehensive Occupational Therapy (OT) assessments and interventions that promote health, wellness and independence whilst supporting our clients to live safely in their homes. The role will provide supportive, respectful and quality services that align with the Aged Care standards of practice as well as guidelines set out by APHRA.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct comprehensive OT assessments for clients, including those with multiple and complex needs.
- Deliver targeted Occupational Therapy for clients with complex health conditions or age-related care needs.
- Provide specific OT services and programs, including home assessments and advice on activities of daily living with recommendations involving home modifications, equipment prescription, care planning and education.
- Involve clients and carers in developing care plans that are person centred and reablement focused.
- Work collaboratively with the wider allied health team, including nurses, physiotherapists and allied health assistants.
- Face to face clinical work, travel between clients with time allocated for administration and reporting.
- Ongoing liaison with external agencies and suppliers to arrange services and products required by the clients in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture through respectful and supportive communication.

The successful candidate will require:
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with post graduate experience.
- Current AHPRA registration.
- Commitment and enthusiastic approach towards working with the clients, families, carers and advocates.
- Experience in equipment prescription, pressure care, home modifications and falls prevention for older adults.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated organisation and time management skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to change.
- Current Basic Life Support and First Aid Certificates.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current driver’s licence, full driving history report and a registered and insured motor vehicle.
