Job Overview:
As an Occupational Therapist at Being Physio Pty Ltd, your role will involve assessing and treating patients with various physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges that impact their daily activities and independence. You will work closely with patients to develop personalised therapy plans, provide guidance, and monitor their progress. We are seeking a compassionate professional who is passionate about empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' functional abilities and limitations, including physical, cognitive, and emotional factors.
• Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs and goals, focusing on improving their ability to perform daily activities and enhancing their quality of life.
• Therapy Implementation: Administer a variety of therapeutic interventions, exercises, and activities to improve patients' strength, mobility, coordination, and cognitive functions.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on adaptive techniques, equipment, and strategies to enhance daily functioning and independence.
• Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate and document patients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaboration: Work in conjunction with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to provide holistic care.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and reports for insurance or legal purposes.
• Stay Informed: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in occupational therapy, attend relevant training and conferences, and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

- Valid AHPRA registration as Occupational Therapist.
- Strong clinical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Empathy and a patient-centered approach.
- Proficiency in using occupational therapy assessment tools and technology.

Preferred Skills:

- Certification in a specialised area of occupational therapy.
- Experience in paediatrics, geriatrics, or a specific clinical setting.
- Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
