Mullum Road Clinic Warrandyte has an immediate position for an Occupational Therapist to join our team.
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist with a strong interest in working in the context of Animal Assisted Therapy (with animals such as chickens, guinea pigs, cats, or dogs) and potentially Equine Assisted Therapy at the farm in the future. The Warrandyte location also lends itself to interacting with the environment, nature and outdoors.
Mullum Road Clinic generally works with Neuro Divergent (ND) individuals (identifying as Autistic and/or having ADHD) and the LGBTQIA+ community. We see clients of all ages.

ABOUT MULLUM ROAD
Mullum Road first began at our Ringwood location in 2009. We have since expanded to locations in Croydon, Warrandyte and Eltham, providing therapy for adults, adolescents, children, families, and couples, with a particular focus on Autism, ADHD, gender/sexual diversity and Animal Assisted Therapy. We work predominantly with neurodivergent individuals using a neuro-affirming approach.
We provide a supportive and friendly team environment to enable you to make effective changes for your clients.
Occupational Therapists that identify as neuro divergent are welcomed and celebrated at Mullum Road.
Our clinics lend themselves to incorporating “walk and talk”, nature- and bush-based therapy and Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) into your work. Creative, somatic and experiential approaches to therapy are beneficial in this role .
We are looking for a dynamic Occupational Therapist with strong interpersonal skills to work largely with adolescents and children. Experience working with children and adolescents will be highly regarded. Prior private practice experience is not necessary.
An interest in working with the LGBTQIA+ community is also highly regarded.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
Occupational Therapist (ongoing contractor position). 2-4 days per week. Days can be across the clinic locations if desired.

- The option to bring your own trained therapy dog into sessions on the farm.
ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL PSYCHOLOGIST
- Demonstrate a compassionate and enthusiastic approach and have a genuine desire to improve client's well-being
- Value building strong therapeutic relationships with clients and value developing relationships with referrers and other allied health clinics.
- Hold registration with AHPRA, professional indemnity insurance, and a Working with Children Check.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Interest in Autism, ADHD, Gender diversity and working with Neuro Divergent (ND) individuals.
- Experience in Animal Assisted Therapy, or a passion to learn skills in this area.
- Experience or strong interest in working with children, adolescents and young adults.
