The role is a temporary part time (up to 14hrs) Level 1/2 Occupational Therapist position. Working between Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm. This role is well supported by a senior clinician and management team.

What you'll be doing

This position is responsible for the provision of high quality client centred, evidence based Occupational Therapy services to clients of WSLHD as directed.

You may have the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical areas such as acute inpatients – general medical, general surgical, neurosciences, geriatrics, as well as inpatient rehabilitation striving to achieve high quality person-centred care in a safe & timely manner.

Essential Criteria

Current general registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated clinical experience in an acute care and rehabilitation setting including experience in discharge planning, home assessment, home modifications and equipment prescription
  2. Skills in planning, implementing and evaluating intervention programmes
  3. Ability to work both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
  5. Demonstrated effective time management and organisational skills
  6. Current drivers licence
  7. Commitment to ongoing education, professional development and quality improvement
