Mental Health services provide a range of inpatient services and community mental health care, from prevention and early intervention, to treatment, rehabilitation and continuing care.The Neuropsychiatry Inpatient Unit - Kaoriki House at Morisset Hospital is a 12-bed unit that operates 24/7 focusing on the assessment of patients with varying difficulties related to mental health and the provision of Neuropsychiatry treatment through a skilled, multidisciplinary team.About the role:
- Provide functional and psychosocial assessments that identify strengths and needs in the clients’ occupational role performance, to enable the development of collaborative goal directed care plans.
- The development, implementation and evaluation of individual and group interventions to address the functional, occupational, social and psycho-educational needs of the identified consumer group.
- To work collaboratively with the wider health service, community managed organisations and other community partners to establish appropriate community supports for the client and to promote and create opportunity for meaningful community participation.
- Experience in program design and the development, facilitation and evaluation of group interventions based on consumer needs will be highly desirable.
- The HNEMH OT Network has a strong team of senior staff across the different clinical streams and exchange skills and support during scheduled network meetings throughout the year all under the leadership of the HNE Head of Discipline for Occupational Therapy who provides support to each team. The HNEMH OT Network has a strong culture of clinical supervision in which you will be supported to participate.
