Located in the inner south, we are seeking early career or graduate Occupational Therapists to join our experienced and remarkable multi-disciplinary teams. We strive to create a supportive, nurturing atmosphere across all BHN clinics that benefits both clients and clinicians.
Become part of a wider allied health team in either or both physical and mental health depending on your area of interest. Provide individuals and their families with broader care team support by working as part of a multidisciplinary team and across funding sources, inclusive of aged care and or NDIS. Assist the teams by using your clinical skills, assessment skills and communication skills.
Further develop your skills, confidence and knowledge through individualised ongoing learning and development opportunities including clinical and line management supervision, practice reviews and case conferences.

Responsibilities:
Conducting goal-based assessments with clients and their carers in the clinic, in clients’ homes and in the community.
Providing OT services such as advice on activities of daily living, home modifications, and recommendations on assistive technology or to support funding applications.
Providing services that build on a person’s strengths and capabilities, and that are consistent with their identified goals.
Managing your own caseload, inclusive of equipment submissions, medicolegal documentation, reports and funding.
Collaborating with the broader multi-disciplinary team, including supervision, team meeting and practice reviews.
Liaison with key stakeholders both internal and external to BHN.
Requirements and Attributes:
A Professionally Qualified Occupational Therapist
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Passion for working with adults with chronic complex medical conditions and/or disability.
Understanding of and interest in either Aged care, the NDIS or both.
Demonstrated ability to deliver Occupational Therapy specific assessments and interventions.
A desire to be part of a supportive team, eager to contribute and learn together.
Growth mindset and ability to think and reflect critically, continually learn and develop, and adapt to change to provide the best outcomes for the client.
