Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking a Communications Officer to join their busy team for a 12-month temporary assignment.
About the role
As a Communications Officer, you will delivers strategic and impactful marketing, communication and digital solutions, supported by market research and insights. In addition, your key duties are as follow
- Champion plain English and ensure all collateral is accessible and aligns with the Agency style and branding guidelines.
- Lead through example, serving as a trusted communications expert
- Assist key internal stakeholders and business partners deliver the objectives of each project.
- Draft clear, concise and effective messaging for different audiences, including creation of talking points and speeches
- Deliver different communications plans, progressing approvals and coordination of go-live collateral.
- Develop important internal stakeholder relationships, address and resolve any emerging challenges with stakeholders.
- Evaluate the impact of communications, identify any future learnings and determin whether the identified objectives for each project have been achieved
About you
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Proven experience in a similar Communications role
- Previous background in disability or government is highly preferrable
- Strong Copy Writing skills in plain English
- High attention to detail and good organisation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- 12-month temporary assignment
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- $60.26 per hour + super
- Immediate start pending clearances

- Perth, WA
