About the Facility
The main focus of Occupational Therapists (OTs) is to enable clients to achieve maximum independence and safety in their activities of daily living. Barwon Health OTs look after clients of all ages and their services are provided in the hospital, rehabilitation centres, community health centres, aged care facilities and at home.
OTs may recommend and supply particular equipment, arrange modifications or provide education on techniques to make it easier and safer for clients and/or their carer to complete everyday tasks that are important to them.
The Barwon Health OccupationalTherapy department also offers a specialised hand therapy service at University Hospital Geelong for clients following traumatic hand injuries or hand surgery.
About the Role
We are seeking applications for an enthusiastic Grade 1Occupational Therapist to join our Clinical Rotational program, which has:
- 12 rotations across acute, inpatient rehabilitation, community rehabilitation (CRC), community health (CHC) and Child and Family Services settings
- Clinical specialties of orthopaedics, surgical, medicine, neuro rehabilitation, geriatric evaluative management (GEM), trauma and paediatrics
- Bed based rotations inclusive of a weekend and public holiday roster with additional financial rewards with pay and leave for weekend work
