We are seeking a part-time community Occupational Therapist to provide, therapy: both individual and group, home modification and assistive technology assessments across Greater Sydney (mostly Western Sydney), catering to clients funded through various programs.
We are open to discussing the employment arrangement with the right candidate and their experience including hours, fees, and type of workload. The details provided here are not fixed but serve as initial considerations.
Job Type
- Part-time employment.
Availability
- 14-21 hours per week with flexible scheduling options across 5 days. You have the freedom to distribute these hours throughout the week as it suits your convenience.
- As a rapidly growing organisation, there are opportunities for you to increase your hours and progress into management positions, such as becoming a clinical lead.
Commencement Date
- Start in April 2024.
Location
Primarily in Seven Hills with a willingness to travel for assessments throughout Greater Metropolitan Sydney.
The Opportunity
As an Occupational Therapist with Western Sydney Best Care, you will play a crucial role in enhancing individuals' daily lives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting on-site assessments of manual handling, equipment, homes and producing comprehensive prescriptive `submissions and reports, including drawings and well-justified recommendations.
- Collaborating with equipment suppliers, builders, family members, and case managers to find suitable solutions for patients' needs.
- Delivering efficient procedures and completing tasks within established timeframes.
- Maintaining open communication with all relevant parties regarding the patient's progress.
- Demonstrating the ability to work independently.

Qualifications and Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess or be willing to obtain:
- An accredited Occupational Therapy degree.
- Australian working rights.
- A valid driver's license, third party minimum insurance and access to a reliable vehicle.
- An AHPRA registration.
- NDIS Screening
- 1st Aid Certificate
- Working With Children Check.
