We are currently seeking passionate Occupational Therapists to join our fast-growing Sydney team! We are known for our fantastic team culture and supportive work environment.

We work with clients face to face at home, in outpatient clinics, at school, and via telehealth.

The Positions:

An exciting opportunity exist for an Occupational Therapist to join our Sydney Team.  The successful applicant will provide assessment and intervention to our NDIS participants with the opportunity to work with clients in other schemes. Depending on your experience the role may also involve providing leadership and supervision to Occupational Therapists, therapy aides and students. Caseload is varied and the applicant would benefit from experience working in at least one of these areas: paediatrics, neuro-diverse clients of all ages, mental health, adult neurological, deaf and hard of hearing, deaf/blind, intellectual disabilities, housing, home modifications, and assistive technology.  

Day to day:

  • Assessment, development and implementation of individual – client centred – intervention programs.
  • Promotion of positive client outcomes through the provision of high quality clinical services, networking, health promotion activities and education as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintenance of a participant’s independence and safety through ADL upskilling programs.
  • Identification and establishment of goals with participants, carers and families.
  • Complex Functional Assessments and reports.
  • Plan Recommendation reports.
  • Assisting to develop resources and to grow services provided to participants.
  • OT’s in senior roles will have additional responsibilities relevant to their role. These can be explored based on individual interests.
  • Opportunities to learn across multiple service areas including NDIS, workplace rehab, CTP, and Life Insurance, however with an initial focus on learning the NDIS space.  We understand that identifying and working towards a case load mix that suits individual preference is key to job satisfaction and sustainability.

About you:

We are looking for motivated OTs at all experience levels, with a passion for helping individuals with a disability to reach their full potential. You thrive in building relationships and love to contribute professionally to a multidisciplinary environment. 

You will also have:

  • A Bachelor or Masters of Occupational Therapy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be committed to delivering person-centred care.
  • AHPRA registration.
  • NDIS Worker Check
  • Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check
  • Current driver’s licence.
  • Have a positive attitude, be a team player, and enjoy contributing ideas.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Strong desire to develop your skills in an NDIS setting.
  • Roles can be full-time or part time. 

Remuneration: Dependent on skills and experience. New Graduates and early career OT’s are encouraged to consider the level of supervision, support and clinical expertise available at The Rehabilitation Specialists.
