We're looking for Occupational Therapists to deliver services online, via video link, all from the comfort of your own home. We don't need you to be overly experienced with telehealth. We need you to be as passionate about this issue as we are. We need you to want to learn, and maintain high quality services.
Currently, we are actively recruiting paediatric or generalist Occupational Therapists who can see clients across the age spectrum. We are particularly interested in Occupational Therapists who can conduct assessments, such as Functional Capacity Assessments.
How the role works from a day to day perspective
As a contractor you will be able to work flexibly and determine your work hours and days - from 15 hours per week up to full-time. You can fit your Umbo work around other commitments you have, including another job, study or childcare responsibilities.
As an online role, you can perform this role from any location, even from overseas - we have clinicians in different continents.
You tell us the hours you want to work, including direct and indirect time. We work out which clients suit your expertise and interest level. Our admin staff book your appointments. Our system generates a list of your appointments and you confirm with one click as to whether they are accurate. From this list, your invoices are generated for you - no more messing around with Microsoft Word documents!
We provide both professional and clinical supervision, both one on one and in peer groups. We pay you super. Our support staff are here to ensure you are properly inducted to the role and supported in a compassionate and caring manner.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor or masters degree in occupational therapy
- Experience working as an Occupational Therapist, ideally at least 3 years or relevant prior working experience
- Current Working with Children Check (renewed every 3 years) and National Police Clearance (renewed every 5 years)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current AHPRA registration

Tasks & responsibilities
- Assess, implement, and manage client supports in accordance with best practices.
- Develop intervention plans, including short and long term goals, in line with the client’s NDIS goals.
- Develop the child’s speech pathology program in consultation with the key worker, family, and support network.
- Work cooperatively and effectively within the trans-disciplinary team to provide families with a high quality, coordinated service.
