Occupational Therapist | Private Hospital

Locum opportunity available within a well-established inpatient rehabilitation unit at a Private Hospital based in Mornington, Victoria. This facility is dedicated to providing high-quality care across various specializations, including orthopaedics, spinal surgery, cardiac and neurology. With a focus on medical reconditioning, the center aims to deliver exceptional outcomes and support through its dedicated healthcare teams.

This locum opportunity is ideal for Occupational Therapists who are eager to apply their skills in a diverse and challenging inpatient setting. Whether you have direct rehab experience or a background in acute ward settings, this role offers the chance to develop professionally in a supportive environment.

The 14-week contract starts on 27th May 2024.

About the position:

• Pay rate from $50 -$70 per hour pending experience and grade
• Exposure to a hospital environment with a caseload consisting of rehabilitation focusing on orthopedics, spinal surgery, cardiac surgery, medical/reconditioning and neurology
• Provide Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions within rehabilitation and acute wards
• Working within a 60 bed inpatient unit 
• Supportive working environment with a structured orientation in place
• Collaborate within a team of experienced Occupational Therapists

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
• AHPRA registration 
• Full Australian working rights
• Postgraduate experience in the acute or rehabilitation space
