We are an allied health business on the Sunshine Coast who is rapidly expanding into the mobile health sector. We can't keep up with the demand for Occupational Therapy requests with our current team, so we are looking to find an OT who is looking for a relaxed and flexible role, and who is happy to be part of a growing business. Our current mobile services include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Massage services. We also have a physical clinic located in Birtinya, which offers Physiotherapy and Massage services. Our ideal candidate (yes, you!) is happy to work independently and as part of a team (cliched, but true). You would be working independently most of the time, but will also interact and discuss cases with other team members as required. We are looking for someone who can communicate with ALL age groups and diverse population groups, and will fit into our easy-going but professional culture!
As the business grows, this role has the opportunity to expand into a Head of OT role in the future for the right candidate.
Qualifications & experience
- Occupational Therapy degree
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurances
- Experience with community OT work is desirable but definitely not essential - we value a good team member over anything else!
- National Police Check, COVID vaccination certificate, NDIS Yellow Card and WWCC will need to be provided for our referrers
- Driver's Licence and car essential
Tasks & responsibilities
- Conduct client visits in clients homes
- Select appropriate equipment, referrals and services that are appropriate for clients
- Write reports to clinically justify recommendations - these may be short reports (e.g. to recommend a 4WW) or lengthier for NDIS (e.g. Functional Capacity Assessments)
- Schedule your own diary and bookings - allowing full flexibility (!)
- Liaise with clients, client family members and care / support coordinators as needed
- If required, meet clients at equipment stores or organise trials in client homes
- Provide regular OT services to ongoing clients as required
