The role:
SSRG is embarking on a pivotal phase, dedicated to reshaping, and enhancing our client services to respond to a growing community need for paediatric Occupational Therapy services.
To assist paediatric clients and families meet important goals, we are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist Clinical Leader with experience in managing a paediatric caseload.
This is a newly created position that needs a passionate, experienced, and driven leader with the confidence to nurture and grow the delivery of our paediatric services across the Sunshine Coast.
We are looking for a senior therapist with a passion for helping children and teenagers live their best lives, confidence in the ability to deliver paediatric health outcomes, an innovative approach, and the drive to grow the service and the team.
We’ll know you’re the one if:
You have been working on refining your skillset, and are experienced and confident in your ability to deliver the following:
- Assess NDIS clients with a diverse range of acute and chronic paediatric conditions.
- Develop and implement effective therapy and rehabilitation programs to assist your clients in working toward their individual goals.
- Ability to address a variety of client needs, with established OT skills in AT prescription, environmental modification and therapy planning related to this caseload.
- Produce quality reports for submission to funding bodies like the NDIS.
- Ensure the effective and safe delivery of client care in clinic.
- Be motivated to learn and develop your skillset, participating in CPD and multi-disciplinary clinical review meetings where necessary.
- Adhere to clinical guidelines and implement evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s individual needs to ensure the provision of quality services.
- Ideally you will have experience mentoring graduate Occupational Therapists.
- Experience developing and delivering projects and a demonstrated ability to build new services is highly desirable.
- You can tick all the necessary boxes including: a degree in occupational therapy, APHRA registration, current police check, and driver's licence.
