About the Role:
- Collaborate closely with clients, their families, and team members to create environments that promote their quality of life while respecting and encouraging their choices and control.
- Conducting assessments and developing individualised treatment plans for clients
- Implementing evidence-based interventions and therapy plans
- Collaborating with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve therapy goals
- Supporting student placement, and new graduates entering the profession
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records
- Participating in ongoing professional development and training
- In addition to a strong work ethic, we are looking for candidates who possess:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Full Australian working rights
- Current Occupational Therapy AHPRA registration
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Willingness to comply with all state and federal vaccination requirements relevant to Allied Health and Aged Care services
- Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Proficiency in managing workload within a transdisciplinary model.
- Excellent communication skills for building relationships with stakeholders.
- Awareness of NDIS and an understanding of the rights and needs of culturally diverse individuals with disabilities.
- An Australian driver’s license, Working with Children Check, National Police Clearance, First Aid Certificate, a NDIS Workers Screening Check; and completed the NDIS Practitioner Suitability Assessment for Behavioural Support Practitioners.
- Own vehicle and comprehensive car insurance.
