Due to increased demand AbleKids therapy is searching for another Occupational Therapist to join our amazing team!!
The role of the Occupational Therapist will primarily involve the assessment and treatment of infants, preschool and school-aged children who are at risk of developing or who already demonstrate developmental delays and difficulties in engaging in typical childhood occupations.
You will be required to work independently to service a varied paediatric caseload, including children with developmental coordinator disorder, sensory processing difficulties, cerebral palsy and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The AbleKids therapy team deliver a high standard of professionalism and are a committed, evidence-based practice with a family-centered approach and work collaboratively with other professionals.
A manageable caseload, planning and administration time is included in position.

The role is full-time. Hours may be varied according to service demands in consultation with the staff member.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experience providing Occupational Therapy to a paediatric population
- Highly-developed verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate health and medical concepts and solutions to a wide audience
- Demonstrated experience in building and managing effective working relationships and networks
- Strong client and customer service skills, including the ability to identify and deliver client's needs
- High-level organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet timeframes
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professional competence and integrate new teachings and techniques into practice and service delivery
This position is suitable for experienced or recent graduates.
