Established in 2019, Wide Bay Therapy is a locally owned and operated allied health clinic offering assessment and interventions across the lifespan. We are looking for a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our growing and dynamic team. Full time work hours are available, with flexible working arrangements encouraged and supported, as staff well-being is important to us. Options could include a nine-day fortnight, part time or flexible rosters.
This position is located in Gympie and is dedicated to improving the lives of young people, their families and adults in our community. You will be joining an experienced team of OT’s, Early Intervention Specialist Educators and Therapy Assistants and will work in the community and clinic, across a wide range of caseloads. NDIS, MAC & Medicare are the leading funding bodies managed by Wide Bay Therapy, with the majority of the work in the NDIS space. You will have your choice of adults, paediatrics or a split caseload. Your role will include:
- Providing personalised and goal centred interventions with the potential to start group support within your chosen caseload.
- Work with clients, their families and key stakeholders to create individualised plans
- Complete comprehensive assessments
- Complete and provide detailed and accurate reports and applications as required by the client or funding body, as well as contributing to multi-disciplinary team reports.
- Work collaboratively with other OT’s and Specialist Educator to develop holistic therapy plans for ongoing intervention and support programs
- High level of communication and commitment to client relations
- Prescription and trialling of assistive technologies relevant to your role.
- Proficient computer skills, excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Experience working with children is preferred, however, mentoring and support is provided for any level of experience.

Minimum requirements
- Appropriate tertiary qualification
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current NDIS worker screening (or eligible for)
- Current QLD drivers licence
- National Police Check (or eligible for)
- Current CPR & First Aid certificate
