Occupational Therapist - Paediatrics

Opportunity to join a family-run multidisciplinary clinic. This role would suit an early career OT with passionate for paediatrics or a more experienced OT looking to join a collaborative team. Our experienced team at BillyLids is ready to provide guidance and mentorship to the right candidate.

Our senior OT's each have more than 12 years experience and have a special interest in early intervention with children with physical disabilities, supporting children across settings and assistive technology.
The caseload:
- Dedicated paediatric practice supporting children under 10 and their families
- Responsible for providing evidence based assessment, planning and intervention for children.
- Achievable KPI’s- maximum of five clients per day with a soft landing.
- Hybrid model - four in clinic sessions per day complemented by one community visit.
The benefits:
- Above award salary: $80,000 - $100,000 + superannuation, depending on clinical expertise.
- Five weeks of annual leave each year.
- Not required to work on public holidays.

Requirements:
- A playful and engaging demeanour. Must love children!
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Occupational Therapy
- AHPRA registration
- Current Working with Children Check and Police Check or ability to obtain
- Vaccinated for COVID-19 and influenza
- Full working rights within Australia
- Drivers Licence
- A commitment to working collaboratively within the BillyLids team
- Must be able to build rapport with children and families quickly
- The ability to engage and motivate children of all ages through play or age-appropriate activities, whilst also incorporating playful and adaptive work practices
- Must show initiative and empathy to helping children and their families
- A willingness to participate in peer to peer mentoring
- Sound knowledge of child development, and conditions affecting normal development
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent time management skills
Desirable:
- Knowledge of NDIS framework.
