Alternative to running your own clinic
Supportive family oriented environment
Flexible working arrangements
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Paediatric OT to create something really special for children and families in the community. Put your own mark on a new service offering that is focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for children of all abilities but particularly ASD clients.
The organisation
Our client is an established NDIS provider with administration support and full clinic based facilities looking to add OT to their service offering. The company was founded by the family of an Autistic child who recognised the limited options available in the community that met the needs of all children. This is a purpose led organisation with strong values. Having worked alongside other allied health providers that provide paediatric health services for a number of years and due to a significant waiting list, they have decided to add Occupational Therapy as a specialist in house service to cater better to the unique circumstances of their children and the environment that they provide.
The role
You will be working as part of a team of approximately 10 health professionals providing services to children of all abilities. Reporting to the Allied Health Team Leader you will be responsible for building and managing the OT team. You will be responsible for the assessment of clients, writing programs, setting goals, reporting as well as training and overseeing the implementation of the programs which will be largely completed through an already established team of support staff.
You will play a significant role in setting up the service and will have a lot of input into the best way to run it and this role could be either a stepping stone or an alternative to setting up your own private clinic.
A large portion of your clients will be Autistic and it is essential that you have prior experience working with non-verbal, verbal, high and low functioning ASD clients.
