Early Autism Services (EAS) is a rapidly growing Autism Services provider operating in Victoria.
EAS is a global service provider established in the USA since 2008 and arriving in Australia in 2019. We offer Allied Health and Behaviour Support Services in, both, community and clinic environments. EAS is also actively engaged in raising awareness about autism and advocating for greater understanding. We collaborate with Government, community organisations, schools, kindergartens, and childcare centres as well as other healthcare providers to promote inclusive practices. Key responsibilities:
- Provide formal supervision and support to the Occupational Therapy team, including Occupational Therapy allied health assistants, and general mentoring to the wider multidisciplinary team at EAS.
- Collaborate with other discipline Team Leaders within the organisation to promote collaborative, multidisciplinary practice and hence ensure holistic services are provided to clients.
- Provide best-practice, neurodiverse-affirming Occupational Therapy services to clients in a range of settings including home, school, and clinic.
- Liaise with the Executive Team regarding areas including (but not limited to) budget, utilisation targets, program effectiveness and staff performance.
- Collaborate with Quality team for areas such as incident reporting, risk management and compliance to NDIS Practice Standards and support team members to complete appropriate documentation pertaining to these areas.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects within scope of role.
Qualifications and skills required:
- An Australian recognised degree in Occupational Therapy
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist (preferably in paediatrics)
- AHPRA registration or willing and able to obtain
- Working with Children Check for an Employee
- NDIS Worker Screening check
- First Aid and CPR Certification
- Driver's License and access to a vehicle
