Odyssey Marine provides logistics and marine support services to the resources sector. Our home port of Port Hedland is Australia’s heaviest bulk export port, and we service some of the world’s top mining and shipping companies.
About the candidate
Responsible for the safe, efficient and reliable operation and maintenance of our vessels, the successful candidates will work well in a team environment, have good communication skills and be able to manage a moving schedule with changing priorities.
Successful candidates will have previous marine experience, must uphold and promote a strong safety culture fostering and embrace an inclusive and diverse workplace.
Master Position requirements
- AMSA Master <24m (as a minimum)
- MED 2 (as a minimum)
- Practical Marine Safety Course (either Elements of Ship Safety (ESS) course/STCW CoSt course/General Purpose Hand Near Costal GPH course
- Current valid MSIC card or ability to obtain
- Current First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain
- High risks tickets desirable - Dogman, Forklift, Truck license MR /HR, Crane CV
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong written, IT and communication skills
- Prior vessel handling experience, especially jet driven vessels
Deckhand requirements
- Practical Marine Safety Course (either Elements of Ship Safety (ESS) course/STCW COST course/General Purpose Hand Near Costal GPH course
- Current valid MSIC card or ability to obtain
- Current First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain
- High risks tickets desirable - Dogman, Forklift, Truck license MR /HR, Crane CV
- Positive can do attitude
